The printhead / thermal strip / printhead are the parts that can be moved and replaced in the printer. Thermal strips are used in thermal transfer printers and direct thermal printers. Since the thermal strip is permanently in direct contact with the passing label or thermal transfer tape or film, there is constant wear. As soon as print quality has degraded, becomes weak or even uneven, the print head or thermal strip / printhead should be replaced.
