Print heads / thermal strips in label printers are wear parts. The thermal line has direct contact with the passing label or the ribbon and is subject to constant wear over time. As soon as the printout becomes incomplete or weak, the print head must be replaced.

Replacing these print bars is possible with all Sato printers and is usually always economical. The printer mechanics and the housing are designed for a multiple of the printhead performance.
